Background
Room Split is an agency that offers holiday apartment and villa rentals in the Dalmatia region of Croatia. Marina, the owner, had a web site using a Joomla CMS that had a few listings, but it was not usable for her and there were a lot of bugs in the language translation.
The client wanted all of her existing listings plus a couple dozen new listings, with both English and Croatian content, migrated to a fresh WordPress site. Each listing had to include multiple photo galleries, a gps map, property features and property descriptions, all duplicated for both languages.
What I Did
- WordPress installation set up
- Theme customization
- Set up web site for presentation in both English and Croatian
- Set up a system of searchable tags in 2 languages
- Content management including content and imagery editing for 2 languages
- Trained client on how to use WordPress
- Hosted site on my server network
